Double Dynamite: Marvin Hagler vs. Mustafa Hamsho I

In a battle between middleweights who have not lost in five years, Middleweight Champion Marvin Hagler takes on Mustafa Hamsho on the undercard of a heavyweight title fight between Mike Weaver and James Tillis. Hagler is cut over the right eye by a clash of heads in the third round but returns the favor by opening cuts over both of Hamsho's eyes by the end of the fourth. Hagler gives Hamsho a systematic beating, but the challenger refuses to go and repeatedly sticks his tongue out at the champion. Finally, with Hamsho taking punishment on the ropes, Referee Octavio Meyran stops the fight in the eleventh.
