Almost two years after their first fight, Middleweight Champion Marvin Hagler again defends his crown against Fulgencio Obelmejias in Italy. After trading bombs for four rounds, Hagler floors Obelmejias with a right hook at the end of the fifth. The challenger tries to beat the count but collapses back to the canvas and is counted out by Referee Ernesto Magana. After the fight, Hagler tries to talk HBO color commentator "Sugar" Ray Leonard out of retirement and into fighting him.
