WBC and WBA Middleweight Champion Marvin Hagler adds a third title to his collection in the inaugural IBF Middleweight Championship fight that the WBA and WBC refuse to sanction against Wilford Scypion. Hagler wobbles Scypion with a left hand at the end of the first round and drops him with an accumulation of punches in the fourth. Scypion tries to get up but fails to beat the count of Referee Frank Cappucino.
