Fighting on the undercard of a bout between Roy Jones Jr. and Clinton Woods, Winky Wright and Bronco McKart square off for the third time in six years as Wright defends his IBF Super Welterweight Championship. The third fight proves the best of the three early on as both men land hard shots; however, when McKart's start to stray low, Referee Michael Fischer docks him two points in the seventh round. McKart loses another point for the infraction in the eighth before Wright wobbles him with a straight left hand. After penalizing McKart two more points for low blows in the ninth, Fischer finally calls off the fight, disqualifying the challenger.
