Winky Wright travels to the home turf of WBO Super Welterweight Champion Bronco McKart for his second attempt at a title. Fighting behind his stiff right jab, Wright out works his fellow southpaw in virtually every round. Although McKart comes on strong in the championship rounds, it's not enough to turn back the challenger, who wins on a much closer than expected and curious split decision as one judge surprisingly has McKart ahead.
