Alexis Arguello vs. James Busceme

WBC Lightweight Champion Alexis Arguello travels to the hometown of challenger James Busceme to make the third defense of his title. Busceme comes to fight, firing back every time he gets hit, but fails to really hurt Arguello, although he does bag his share of rounds. In the sixth, Arguello staggers Busceme with a left hook and buckles the challenger's knees with another one. The valiant challenger refuses to go down, but a right hand from Arguello spins him around and has him walking away, out on his feet, when Referee Octavio Meyran wisely stops the fight, giving the champion another highlight reel-worthy knockout.
