Alexis Arguello moves up to 140 pounds on his quest to become the first man to win titles in four weight divisions. His first test comes against Kevin Rooney, who storms Arguello from the opening bell. Arguello twice freezes Rooney with straight right hands in the second round before flooring him into the ropes with a third one in the final seconds. After being counted out by Referee Larry Hazzard, Rooney remains down for some time.
