Undefeated Heavyweight Champion Larry Holmes's knockout streak comes to an end when Canadian Champion Trevor Berbick takes him fifteen rounds. Berbick shouts at Holmes and taunts him during the opening round, prompting Holmes to shove him after the bell. The challenger ends up knocking Referee Mills Lane over while trying to get to Holmes. Holmes staggers Berbick in the second round and several more times during the bout, but Berbick continues to run his mouth and briefly stuns Holmes in the fifth. After fifteen rounds, Holmes clearly defends his title with a unanimous decision.

20-year-old Mike Tyson becomes the youngest Heavyweight Champion in history when he stops WBC Champion Trevor Berbick in just two short rounds. Berbick opts to go toe to toe and hits the canvas early in round two after a barrage from Tyson. At the end of the round, Berbick goes down hard once again and collapses twice more while attempting to get up from the same punch, prompting Referee Mills Lane to mercifully halt the contest.

In the last fight of his career, Muhammad Ali takes on Trevor Berbick in the Bahamas. Ali surprises many by fighting awkwardly but effectively and winning many rounds over the first half of the fight; however, the three-time Heavyweight Champion tires badly and allows Berbick to win the last five rounds mostly on activity. Berbick starts catching Ali with some good shots to seal the deal in the tenth and final round. After Berbick gets the unanimous decision from the judges, Ali announces his retirement in the ring, finally ending his legendary career.
