WBA, IBF and WBO Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko faces the rare opponent taller than him when he defends his crowd against undefeated Mariusz Wach of Poland. Klitschko starts landing clean straight right hands as early as the first round but has to survive a short scare when Wach stuns him with a right hand of his own at the end of the fifth. In the seventh and eighth rounds, Klitschko puts a devastating beating on the challenger, but Referee Eddie Cotton allows the fight to continue. Wach goes twelve rounds but pays a punishing price en route to losing a landslide unanimous decision.
