Shane Mosley looks to position himself for a fight against the winner of the superfight between Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. by taking on former Welterweight titleholder Luis Collazo. Although Collazo catches him with some quality power shots in the second round, Mosley outworks him in nearly every round, mounting a big lead on the scorecards. After drilling Collazo with big right hands in the tenth round, Mosley catches him with a counter right hand in the eleventh that sends Collazo stumbling onto his rear for a knockdown. The judges see Mosley the winner by a wide unanimous decision.
