Undefeated IBF Super Lightweight Champion Kostya Tszyu returns to his adopted homeland of Australia to defend his title against former champion Roger Mayweather. Mayweather proves difficult for Tszyu to hit, but the champion out works him in virtually every round and has Roger bleeding from the right eye after the sixth. In the ninth, Mayweather returns the favor by cutting Tszyu after several clean right hands. Mayweather loses a point for a low blow in the twelfth before both men score with hard, flush shots to close the show with some of the only quality action all night. After twelve rounds, Tszyu is declared the winner by a landslide unanimous decision.
