Promoter Frank Warren lures Mike Tyson into Great Britain for the first time in his career to take on unheralded British Heavyweight Champion Julius Francis. Tyson takes Manchester by storm, flooring Francis five times with five different types of punches in two rounds, beginning with a body shot and then a jab in the opening round. Francis beats the count both times but is knocked down into the ropes by a right hand early in the second round. A left hook puts Francis on the canvas again, but he continues to get to his feet. Tyson finally lands an uppercut that drops Francis onto all fours, and Referee Roy Francis mercifully waves things off.
