After being banned from boxing for a year following the rematch with Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson returns to the ring against Francois Botha in another rough-and-tumble affair. When Tyson attempts to break Botha's arm during a clinch at the end of the opening round, Botha retaliates with a series of punches after the bell, drawing both camps and security into the ring. After order is restored, Tyson is deducted a point for the same foul in the second round. Surprisingly falling behind on points, Tyson suddenly ends the fight on one punch - a short right hand that puts Botha down in the fifth round. Botha twice attempts to get up but fails to beat the count when he falls into the ropes.
