After unifying two Super Middleweight titles, Joe Calzaghe finally makes his HBO debut against the rugged Sakio Bika. Bika goes all out to win the fight, including taking shots after the bell in the second round and rabbit punching Calzaghe between the ropes in the fourth. After a second clash of heads in the fifth, Bika is docked a point by Referee Mickey Vann for what he deems an intentional head butt. Battling through a bloodied left eye, Calzaghe out fights Bika for a unanimous decision win.
