Undefeated IBF Lightweight Champion Shane Mosley scores an impressive knockout over Jesse James Leija. An uppercut in the sixth round seats Leija on the bottom rope for an official knockdown, but Referee Eddie Cotton comes back to take a point from Mosley in the seventh for a bogus low blow call. In the eighth round, Mosley lands a big right hand that causes Leija - after a delayed reaction - to fall just before the bell. Leija continues on but is forced to take a knee at the end of the ninth from another right hand. Although Leija makes it up after each knockdown, his corner throws in the towel before the tenth round.
