Undefeated Shane Mosley continues his knockout streak into the welterweight ranks when he stops Willy Wise in three one-sided rounds. Mosley hurts Wise with a right hand and puts him down on a knee with a body shot just before the bell to end the first round. As Referee Mitch Halpern is separating the fighters in the second round, Mosley lands a left hook that drops him to a knee. Halpern docks Mosley not one but two points for the unintentional foul, but Mosley has Wise wobbled again before the bell to end the round. After body shot from Mosley folds Wise up on the canvas in the third round, Halpern stops the massacre without bothering to count.
