In his first fight in three and a half years since being stripped of the Heavyweight Championship for his refusal to be drafted into service for the Vietnam War, Muhammad Ali returns to the ring to take on the top-rated heavyweight challenger Jerry Quarry. Ali quickly returns to form, opening Quarry up with a cut over the left eye in the third round. Deciding the cut is too bad to continue, Quarry's corner stops the fight before the fourth round.
