Former Heavyweight Champion George Foreman and Tommy Morrison collide on Fourth of July weekend for the vacant WBO title. Morrison boxes well and out scores Foreman over the course of the bout, impressively handling Foreman's power. Referee Mills Lane, who Foreman did not want as the referee, docks the big man a point for a low blow in the tenth and also holds the fight up in the final seconds to fix tape on Foreman's glove as he is attempting to score a come-from-behind knockout. Foreman comes up short and drops a unanimous decision to Morrison.
