Their original fight in 2008 on Showtime was one of the best fights of the year, but the contentious outcome left a lot of doubt in peoples' minds about whether Dawson was really the legitimate light heavyweight champion of the world. The rematch--dubbed "Leave No Doubt"--did indeed remove any doubt as Dawson wisely chose to maintain distance and outboxed Johnson easily over the distance. However, the fight, staged in Dawson's home state of Connecticut and broadcast on HBO, was so drama-free that many of the fans started booing their own fighter.
