Paul Williams avenges the first defeat of his career with an emphatic knockout over Carlos Quintana in an immediate rematch for the WBO Welterweight Championship. After Williams hurts him with a one-two midway through the opening round, Quintana tries to hold on, but Williams lands another left hand that drops him onto all fours along the ropes. Quintana beats the count, but Williams knocks him into the ropes with another straight left. Two more lefts have Quintana sagging into the corner and collapsing to the canvas, tackling Williams with him, as Referee Eddie Claudio jumps in to stop the massacre.
