Bernard Hopkins vs. John David Jackson

After sitting out nearly a year over promotional issues, IBF Middleweight Champion Bernard Hopkins returns to defend his title against the southpaw that he claims taught him how to fight the style, John David Jackson. After several frustrating rounds, Hopkins hurts Jackson in the fourth and again in the sixth, knocking Jackson under the ropes. Hopkins follows up with an assault in the seventh round, battering Jackson between the ropes. Although the challenger stays on his feet, he continues to take heavy fire until Referee John Femia stops the fight.
