In the second defense of his WBO Heavyweight Championship, Lamon Brewster scores a thunderous first round knockout over Andrew Golota. Seconds into the bout, Brewster lands a left hook to the body, followed by one to the head that floors Golota. Golota gets up but is immediately knocked through the ropes to the apron by another left hook from Brewster. Although he beats the count again, Golota is drilled by several more shots and dumped onto his back again, prompting Referee Genaro Rodriguez to stop the massacre.
