Pascal had 233 rounds boxed, Bolonti 183 rounds coming in, a decisive edge in experience to Pascal. Pascal scored a flash knockdown of Bolonti early in round two. Past the halfway point in round two, Pascal went into a clinch. Bolonti struggled to get out of the clinch as Pascal would not let go. Bolonti hit Pascal behind the head, Pascal turned Bolonti to the ropes. The referee called break. Pascal then fouled, improperly hitting Bolonti with a short right hook off the referee's break.
