After being defeated by the boxing legend, Jeff Fenech fights Azumah Nelson in what was his opponent's last fight, and beat him via majority decision.

In a highly anticipated rematch, Jeff Fenech and Azumah Nelson follow up their first fight which ended in a draw. It is another competitive fight, there is little in it at 7, and Azumah Nelson pulls the stoppage out the bag, and becomes the WBC super featherweight champion of the world.

Azumah Nelson takes on Jeff Fenech for the WBC 130 lb world title. Nelson starts well, but as the fight goes on, he seems like he is struggling physically to deal with the swarming attack of Fenech, and some of the later rounds are very tough, especially the last round. The fight ends in a split draw, and Nelson claims after the fight, that he had recently finished recovering from malaria, which was quite an excuse.
