Felix Trinidad returns home to Puerto Rico after the first loss of his career to bounce back against Hacine Cherifi. Cherifi comes to fight but gets sent onto the seat of his pants with a straight right hand in the third round. Trinidad drops him to his hands and knees with a monstrous left hook in the fourth as well. When he tries to stand, Cherifi collapses again but somehow still beats the count. Trinidad drops him once more, and, even though Cherifi shows heart in getting up again, Referee Ismael Quinones Falu waves the fight over.
