Perez out worked, out boxed, confused, and frustrated Hooker throughput the fight, it seemed like the right scores for the fight would have been along the lines of 98-92, 99-91, for Perez, and it seemed like a great win for him after that crushing defeat to Anthony Crolla. The judges shocked fans and pundits with their ludicrous decision, Glenn Feldman scored the fight a draw, whilst Robert Hoyle turned in a barely thinkabke 97-93 for Hooker, and whilst still being generous to the big punching American, Adalaide Bryd seemed to score the fight in a sane way. This was a massive setback for Darleys Perez, because he won this fight, legitimately, he won the fight clearly, and by a long way. This fight will go down as an invalid decision, it wasn't the main event, it wasn't even a title fight, which means it isn't ths most famous, but whenever it is talked about, everyone remembers it for the scandelous decision it was.
