A year and a half after being knocked out by a body shot from Bernard Hopkins, Oscar De La Hoya returns to the ring to reclaim a title belt and defend the honor of his wife and son against the brash Ricardo Mayorga. Mayorga talks trash all the way through Referee Jay Nady's instructions, but Oscar answers with his left hook, flooring Ricardo in the first round. De La Hoya finishes him off with two more knockdowns in the sixth.
