Stadium Slugfest: Yuri Foreman vs. Miguel Cotto

Miguel Cotto becomes a three-division champion by winning a portion of the Super Welterweight Championship off of Yuri Foreman in Yankee Stadium. Foreman comes into the bout wearing a brace and injures his knee after a slip in round seven. With their man barely able to stand, Foreman's corner throws in the towel, but Referee Arthur Mercante Jr. bizarrely mandates that the fight continue. It's not until Cotto drops Foreman with a body shot that Mercante decides he has seen enough.
