WBC Super Featherweight Champion Marco Antonio Barrera gets more than he bargains for when he engages Rocky Juarez in a war of a bout. After nearly being floored by a left hook in the third round and having his nose busted open, Barrera manages to control the first half of the fight; however, Juarez comes on strong down the stretch, hammering Barrera with the heavier blows. In the end, the judges steal the spotlight when a scoring controversy initially leads to the bout being declared a draw. After more than 15 minutes, the decision is reversed when the scorecards are retabulated, Barrera instead being named the winner by split decision.
