Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Terdsak Jandaeng
Stateline, NV
126 lbs
Jay Nady
After losing his Featherweight titles to Chris John by controversial decision in Indonesia, Juan Manuel Marquez returns to the United States seeking redemption against the hard-hitting Terdsak Jandaeng. Marquez nearly ends the fight in the second round when he hurts Jandaeng with an uppercut and drops him on his face with another one. Jandaeng somehow survives the round and starts to swell Marquez's right eye shut with left hand bombs, although he loses a point for low blows after only one warning from Referee Jady Nady. Marquez puts Jandaeng down again in the sixth round with an uppercut and a right hand, but Jandaeng again beats the count. Finally, with Jandaeng taking punishment into the seventh round, Nady stops him on his feet.
