Kostya Tszyu scores a devastating knockout in the fourth defense of his IBF Super Lightweight Championship when he flattens Jan Piet Bergman. Bergman opens strong, landing clean shots on Tszyu in the first round, but the champion starts catching him with big blows by the third and staggers him with a straight right hand in the fifth. In the sixth round, Tszyu is cut over the left eye after a clash of heads but responds by wobbling Bergman with a left hook and then sending him crashing into the ropes and the canvas with another. Although Bergman beats the count, Tszyu freezes him stiff with a right hand and lands another as the challenger is falling, dropping him flat on his back under the ropes. Referee Billy Males doesn't bother to count and stops the fight.
