Aside from Round 5, Lundy controlled the first half of the fight with movement and quick punching. Molina began to develop swelling under his right eye by the 5th Round. Lundy was warned in Round 6 for keeping his left arm extended in the face of Molina. Molina was warned in Round 7 for a low blow. A right hand by Molina at 1:45 of Round 8, caught Lundy with his hands down and sent him straight to the mat. He was up by the count of four and received a mandatory eight-count. Lundy was warned in Round 10 for leading with his head. He was warned in the 11th Round for spinning around his opponent and throwing a backhand punch. He too was warned for holding onto the rope with his right hand. At 2:18 of Round 11, the referee stepped in and waved an end to the bout as Lundy, ahead on all scorecards, was against the ropes after being hurt by a left hand, and taking punches. It was the first loss of Lundy's professional career.
