Double Trouble: Erik Morales vs. Zahir Raheem

After their Fight of the Year candidate in March, Erik Morales and Manny Pacquiao agree to a January rematch. To promote the second fight, they share a billing that sees Pacquiao against rugged brawler Hector Velasquez and Morales moving up to lightweight to take on the slick Zahir Raheem. While Pacquiao takes care of business, Morales is upset by Raheem, who takes him to school, landing more punches in every round of the fight. In a desperate rally, Morales makes Raheem touch his glove to the canvas after a right hand in the eleventh round, but Referee Jon Schorle fails to rule it a knockdown. After twelve rounds, Raheem wins a unanimous decision in the upset of the year.
