Having been originally scheduled to fight former WBO champion, Billy Joe Saunders, Rhode Island's Demetrius Andrade fights for the vacant WBO middleweight world title, after Saunders was denied a licence to fight by the Massachusetts State Athletic Commission, and later vacated his title. Andrade takes on undefeated African, Walter Kautondokwa, who has won all but one of his 17 fights by stoppage.
