Alcine consistently outworked Lemieux over 12 rounds. Lemieux, coming off a knockout loss to Marco Antonio Rubio, showed no power against Alcine, who had been knocked out in the first round on previous occasion by Alfredo Angulo but had no problem with Lemieux here. Alcine landed punches by volume as the busier fighter, slipping and blocking Lemieux's punch attempts. Lemieux took this bout too soon after the Rubio loss.
