Benn down twice in round one. Peynaud down in rounds five and six. The pair traded shots in the opening three minutes but it was Peynaud who landed the telling blows. Peynaud also looked to have done enough to win the second and third rounds, putting him in a seemingly unassailable lead, before Benn's late fightback. Despite the back-and-forth nature of the fight, referee Robert Williams awarded Benn the fight by a lopsided score of 57-54. The unusually wide scorecards soured one of the best fights of 2017.
