In Group Stage 2 of the Super Six World Boxing Classic, Mikkel Kessler welcomes undefeated WBC Champion Carl Froch to Denmark in an attempt to bounce back from a first-round defeat and regain a portion of the Super Middleweight crown. The first third of the bout is a chess match before Kessler starts taking over in the middle rounds, hurting Froch with a counter right hand and opening a cut on his nose in the eighth. Froch storms back late, cutting Kessler over the left eye in the tenth. After two hellacious championship rounds, Kessler lifts Froch's title and hands him his first defeat via unanimous decision.
