Holyfield and Nielsen were originally scheduled to meet on March 5, but the fight was postponed due to a cut Holyfield suffered in a bout against Sherman Williams on January 22. Nielsen mooned the audience at the official weigh-in. He said a member of the crowd had shouted that he wanted "to see my white backside." Nielsen said, "I gave it to them. It needn't be boring." This was Holyfield's last fight, but he did not officially announce his retirement until June 26, 2014.
