Dynasty 2: Jean Pascal vs. Bernard Hopkins II
Montreal, Canada
175 lbs
John-Lewis
WBC 175
In perhaps his most inspiring victory out of a career made on unlikely wins, Hopkins becomes at 46 the oldest man to ever win a world championship in any weight class, besting George Foreman by 192 days (George was 45 when he stopped Michael Moorer in 1994). The fight appeared very close, closer than HBO's commentary would suggest. Announced attendance of 17,560 was a Bell Centre record for boxing.
