Alfredo Angulo won the interim WBO Junior Middleweight title with an 11th round stoppage of Joel Julio. Very competitive bout, with Julio's jabs backing up Angulo for much of the bout. Right cross to the chin by Angulo sent Julio to the canvas midway through round 11. He beat the count and seemed willing to go on, but Julio appeared on shaky legs and the referee stopped the bout. After the bout, Julio complained Angulo got preferential treatment because he was from California. The bout appeared to end on a fair blow.
